Email Marketing: Elude Being Deleted

Email marketing is often used to communicate commercial/advertising messages to lists of people. Every email sent to a potential or current customer could be considered email marketing.

Have you noticed how difficult it is to obtain a decent response from email campaigns? Email marketing has become so popular that it’s actually overused making people’s mailboxes completely full of commercial or what many term ‘Spam’ mail. Individuals become bombarded and overwhelmed with all this mail they often delete it without even reading the subject.

So, how do you keep from being considered spam and having your message deleted? Well, there are several ways that are proven to increase or I should say decrease your message deletability!

1.) You need to make your subject more personal, as well as relating it to your actual email message. You could start your subject with ‘Everyone Knows…’ of course complete the sentence with something pertaining to your email. Charlie Page, publisher of The Ezine Directory, has very successfully captivated the email market. Charlie encourages people to use curiosity to get them interested. It is the one of best way to get people to open their emails. This can be done through asking questions. Also you can use outrageous subject headings with a short story inside the email. This also serves to keep them reading once they open the email.

2.) You need to keep it short and to the point. Use shorter and more concise subject matter. Keep your subject title to eight or less words if at all possible.

3.) If you make your subject (pertains to income possibilities) title too unbelievable they will delete it. Stay clear from words like free and boost and unbelievable. You know what I mean, things like make $5000 your first week. We all know anything is possible but how likely is it? Not!

4.) Ok, so you’ve got them clicking onto your message…now what? Don’t waste time, you need to show them how your offer will benefit them. The benefits need to be in the very first paragraph.

5.) Also, keep it short and to the point. Do you realize how many commercial emails people get on a daily…hourly basis? You need to keep it short and sweet. Jump right into the benefits, pique their interests, and direct them to your website. It’s that simple. When I talk about keeping it short this also relates to the size of the paragraphs. Keeping each paragraph to one or two sentences, at 70 characters per line is easier for the reader to digest.

6.) It is very important to keep in mind the time of day you’re sending emails to customers. They should be receiving these messages during their down time. Commercial emails received early in the day will often be deleted because people tend to be busy and in a hurry.

7.) Also, the day of the week can male a big difference on whether or not your email gets read. My advice is: stick to middle of the week days like Tuesday and Wednesday.

8). Don’t forget to give them a Deadline. It’s imperative that you press upon them to act and act quickly.

The competition for your customer’s attention grows daily. If you take the time to refine your email campaign you will be more likely to avoid being trashed in the future. This will inevitably lead to greater profits.

Two Reasons I Failed at MLM and Succeeded With Internet Marketing

First of all I want to start out by saying not all MLM companies are created equal—not all business opportunities are either! Some are wonderful, some not so wonderful. The network marketing company I put my heart, soul, and $3,000 into is a great company with incredible products. The skincare products really did improve my complexion. (No, I am not talking about Avon or Mary Kay—though both are reputable companies).

The two main reasons I failed at network marketing are first off the people I managed to get really enthused and excited about the opportunity to join my team…typically didn’t have the initial $3,000 investment. Heck, they didn’t even have $1,500 to start their own home based business with!

Secondly, the few individuals that actually scrounged up the money to join my downline couldn’t do what I did. I’m not trying to sound conceited but they were never able to inspire or enthuse others to join up and become part of their own downline. I had to do all the enthusing for them. Very quickly the once ‘incredible opportunity’ became less of an opportunity and more of a burden every day. After much of my downline quit I too threw in the towel.

When I think high income business opportunity what pops into my head is internet and internet marketing. There are so many people just as desperate for money as I once was. I know what it’s like to feel frustrated and be completely in debt. Sitting up late at night doing nonstop Google searches for income opportunities worth millions. When I realized how many people are in need this whole internet marketing thing makes so much more sense.

With internet marketing these two reasons are no longer an issue.
My first reason for failing with MLM was people can’t afford to drop $3,000, not the people who will be hungry enough for the opportunity. Well, guess what? Anyone can easily start their very own online business for less than $1,000. The internet truly offers the best income opportunities for all.

My second reason was that the people I did sign up just couldn’t or I should say wouldn’t do the things I did to grow their own downline. With internet marketing/internet businesses anyone can post a classified ad, send out a solo ad, and join up with online message boards and forums.

Any individual who is willing to spend a few hours a day, five days a week posting ads and responding to emails and message boards is more than capable of becoming an internet marketer. Internet marketing offers every individual a real business opportunity.

Nonstop Writing

I have written several articles over the past few days. I feel like I have overloaded myself with article writing. I have focused on several, what I consider narrow topics, and have tried my best to go in-depth by defining and explaining the topics. Have you ever felt like you just can't write anymore?? I think this as I type out this blog, but blogging is different...it doesn't have to be perfect or indepth. I don't have to explain to you why I feel this way, I'm free to just ramble on;)

For the past three or four days I have researched the internet looking for tips on writing articles, what to do and what not to do. Many of the articles I read on writing articles (there are articles for everything) say that you have to catch their attention with a unique and exciting title and introduction. Also, most people will only skim my article and not read the whole thing. So I am obsessing, scrutinizing, writing, and then re-writing something that an individual will only skim over? All this work to make a captivating headline, a tantalizing intro, and an article packed with key-words that the spiders will notice just so someone can quickly scan my article. Well, it will all be worth it once I've got thousands of people visiting my site every day...every hour...every minute!!

Some Excellent Books

Ok, my main focus lately has been increasing traffic to my website. I have read several books on the topic and thought I'd share some of my favorites with you:

1.) Turn Your Words Into Traffic: Finally! the Secret to Non-Stop Free Targeted Website Traffic by Jim Edwards. This is a pretty good book in helping you learn how to write to get people to take action and buy something when they land on your site.

2.) The Savvy Way to Successful Website Promotion; Attracting on-line Traffic; Guide to Top Positioning on Search Engines by Derek Galon. This book shares several marketing and promoting tips. It will help you obtain a better business image, especially if you're just getting started.

I do have a few more I've read but I'm getting a bit sleepy so I'll share those with you at a later day. Oh, last thing...what I've come to realize that one of the best ways to increase traffic is to write articles. As many as you can handles and place them on various article hubs. You would not believe how well they work at promoting your site for you. Ok, that's it for now...goodnight;)

An Excellent Article on Increasing Website Sales

Ok, I found this phenominal article by Shelley Lowery, entitled '10 Website Essentials to Increase Your Sales.' I am adding it to this blog because it's a MUST READ for those who want to up their website traffic, enjoy!!

If you are a serious Internet Entrepreneur, your top priority must be your website. Your website is a direct reflection of you and your business. Creating a professional website designed to sell will take a great deal of time and effort, as there is much more to take into consideration than design. You must look at a much broader picture and specifically design your websites to sell.

1) You must have a professional looking website. Your website is the most important sales tool you have. Your visitor's first impression will almost instantly determine whether or not you're going to make a sale. A professional website should be pleasing to the eyes, well organized, easy to navigate and load quickly.

2) You must specifically design your website to rank high in the search engines. This involves much more than just including META tags. Your KEYWORDS, TITLE, IMAGE ALT tags, Text and overall design, all play an important roll in determining how your website will rank. You can learn more by reading the Optimization tutorial here: http://www.web-source.net/webpage_optimizing.htm

3) You must use effective sales copy. Your words are the entire foundation of your business. Most business failures are the result of ineffective copy. Whether it is your website, sales letters or advertisements, your words play a major role in determining your success. When writing your website copy, use the following formula:A -Attention - Use a powerful headline that demands attentionI -Interest - Intrigue interest and create curiosityD -Detail - Provide details about your product or serviceA -Action - Call for action

4) Drive traffic to your site. In order to create a steady stream of traffic to your website, give your visitors a reason to visit and continue to visit in the future. You must provide your visitors with fresh content on a continual basis. Content comes in various forms, such as news, articles, tips, horoscopes, weather, etc. and is freely available on the Internet. Your content should blend in well with the focus of your website and be updated on a regular basis. Syndication services provide free content from a wide variety of sources. You simply place a small line of code within the HTML of your web page and each of the following services provide fresh content for you. The great thing about syndication services is that once you've placed the code, you don't have to worry about updating the content, as it is automatically updated. Syndicator - Provides free syndicated articles and columns with photographs http://www.web-source.net/syndicator.htm - Provides free headlines for news, articles, comics, weather and more. http://www.isyndicate.com/Moreover - Provides news headlines from over 1500 sources. http://www.moreover.com/ScreamingMedia - Provides free headlines from various resources http://www.screamingmedia.com/

5) Provide free instruction. Your website is the storefront for your product or service. You must convince your visitors that they need the product or service you're offering. This can be accomplished by providing your visitors with free helpful advice and instruction in the form of an article, tutorial, free ebook or free autoresponder course.

6) Display your testimonials. You must gain your visitors trust. By displaying customer testimonials, you are boosting your potential customers confidence in you and your product or service. You can either create a web page to display all of your testimonials or use a script to rotate them on your main page. You can find a great random text script here:http://willmaster.com/master/merrygoround/

7) Let your visitors know who you are. Provide complete information in regard to your company including, address, phone number and email addresses to request information and support.

8) Tell your visitors about their privacy. Create a page on your website called, "Privacy Statement," and let your visitors know exactly what you do with the personal information you collect.

9) Provide a sample or trial of your product or service. For example, if you're offering a Search Engine optimization service, provide a free META tag analysis at your website. Not only will this increase your sales, but it will drive more traffic to your site as well.

10) Remove the risk. To further increase your sales, you must remove the risk by providing a guarantee. A guarantee will boost your potential customer's confidence in purchasing your products or services. A professional website specifically designed to sell is one the most important factors in determining your success. Take your time and make sure you're looking at the complete picture before you begin. If you're not secure in your abilities to create your own website, rather than risk the potential success of your business, consider hiring a professional web designer. Your success depends on it

Ways to Increase Your Website Sales

I hope everyone had a wonderful 4th of July, and got a chance to spend some time with loved ones. Ok, now back to increasing web sales...

Honestly, it's more important to have real content on your site then numerous visits...because if your traffic isn't targeted you won't make the sale anyway. So first you want to drive people to your site and you want to make sure that when they get there you keep them there with potent, absorbing content.

It not necessarily the numbers that matter as much as having qualified numbers and what you do with them! The following are a few ways to increase your website sales:

1.) Grab their attention immediately~ this is done by having a powerful headline/title. People will read the headline and decide whether or not to read anything else.

2.) Peak their curiosty~ that old adage 'curiosity killed the cat' is so true. You can use this known psychological law to pull people in and hook them.
